After scrambling over loose rocks for hours, the mid-cut design gave my ankles the support they needed without feeling restrictive. The Gore-Tex lining kept my feet bone-dry through a sudden afternoon downpour, and they were comfortable right out of the box.

I’ve put these through three full days of rocky trails and wet grass, and the mid-cut collar really locks my ankle in place without rubbing. The GTX lining kept my feet dry through a stream crossing, and they broke in quicker than most boots I’ve owned.

On my first long descent these boots kept my foot stable without any hotspots, and the waterproofing held up through two stream crossings.
