I’ve been using these on granite slabs and they bite into the rock better than any other low-cut shoe I’ve tried—the tread pattern gives that extra edge. No break-in needed, which is rare for approach shoes.

The low-cut collar makes them feel almost like a sneaker, but the tread grips granite like a proper approach shoe — I felt planted on every slab. They’re my new default for anything rocky.

I've worn these on three approaches so far and they've been flawless on everything from loose scree to slick granite slabs. The low-cut design lets my ankle flex naturally while the tread bites into rock exactly where I need it.
