The grip on wet granite is noticeably better than my old shoes—I felt locked in on a sketchy talus traverse. The low cut is just right for scrambling without sacrificing ankle mobility, and they broke in after only two short hikes.

Scree and loose rock used to have me slipping all over the place, but the rubber on these grips way better than my old hikers. The low-cut cut feels nimble on technical approaches without sacrificing protection. Three weekends in and they're holding up great.

The low-cut collar finally lets my ankles breathe on warm granite slabs without losing that locked-in feel. Edging on small nubbins is where these really shine, way better than the bulky boots I used to haul up.
