The precise fit around the heel is what sold me, no slipping on steep scrambles. Used them on a mixed rock and snow route and the Gore-Tex kept my feet dry the whole day. Stiff enough for edging on small footholds but still comfortable on the approach.

Took these up a via ferrata route and then on a glacier approach the same weekend — they handled both without skipping a beat. The sole is stiff enough for edging but still feels great on rocky trails. My go-to alpine boot now.
